Information about ordering including a step-by-step ordering outline, specifications for submitting artwork and turnaround times. Ordering from us can be as easy as making one phone call. Or, a couple of emails.

Please take a look at the following to get a better understanding of our ordering process, submitting artwork to be used in your personalized custom cigar and turnaround times including rush orders if needed.

Quick Overview Of The Ordering Process

1st, choose your cigar band.

From our menu at the top of the page under "Cigar Bands" (or look for this symbol ☰ at the top right of the page), find the category of your event and browse the stock cigar bands we offer for that category. We have hundreds of stock cigar bands ready for you to personalize. We will change out the text and also the colors to match your event's theme. (If we will be designing your cigar band around artwork you are providing us, this step is not necessary as we will design the cigar band around that artwork).

2nd, time to choose the cigars. We have three quality levels of cigars, our Standard Premium, Super Premium and Elite Ultra Premium cigars. All are long-filler, hand-made and true Premium cigars.

Browse our selection of fine premium cigars - you can find them on the menu under "Our Cigars" (or look for this symbol ☰ at the top right of the page). We have 5 Standard Premium blends, 4 Super Premium Blends and 1 Elite Ultra Blend. Take a look at your cigar options. Of course, if you have any questions about our cigars, please call or email.

Call, email or fill In our contact form to start the ordering process.

We are working on an online ordering process. Until then, you can call, email or use our contact form to initiate your order. If you contact us via email or the contact form, we will look to get back to you within one business day. If you need assistance quicker, please call.

We will communicate to get your order placed and discuss the design of your cigar band.

When you are ready to place your order we can discuss the design of your cigar band at that time. We can make this happen via a phone call or email. We do not create proofs of cigar bands unless a firm order is placed.

We then send a proof of your personalized cigar band to you via email.

After your order is placed, it typically takes 2-3 days to get a proof to you via email. That process does include a revision and resend process to make sure your cigar band is exactly what you want.

After artwork approval, we will start production.

After you approve your artwork we move your order to the production phase. 1st, we set up the print and die-cut files for your cigar band. 2nd, we do a test print. After visually confirming the correctness of the color, contrast and text clarity we print your cigar bands. Next up is die-cutting. After die-cutting your cigar bands we then apply the cigar bands to your cigars.

This production process will take between 5-8 working days (rush order are available, please call to discuss). If your order includes special-ordered cigars (cigars we do not inventory), it will typically take an extra week to ship.

Shipping.

Fulfillment (boxing and shipping) is next. Our normal method of shipping is UPS Ground. Shipping via UPS ground can take 1-6 days depending on what part of the country we ship to (we ship from the Melbourne, Florida area). You can request expedited shipping if needed.

If you are submitting artwork or a logo...

Artwork Specs

First, let's briefly discuss what our design and setup process includes. We will design the cigar band around the print-ready artwork or logo you submit. That is part of what the $50.00 design/setup fee covers (in addition to the setup of the print files and die-cut files). If you are ordering one of our stock cigars bands and we are only changing out text and colors, then this information does not apply to you and that design/setup fee is $25.00.

Like very many other areas of life...the quality of the end result depends on the ingredients. One of the most important "ingredients" in you custom/personalized cigar is the quality of the artwork you submit to us.

So...what is "print-ready" artwork in our cigar band world?

We work in the vector world (Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, Affinity Designer). A true vector file is typically an eps, pdf or svg file that was exported from one of the above graphic design software programs. If you had a logo designed for you by a 3rd party company, most likely they included the finished artwork in multiple file formats including one or more of these file formats.

A quick fyi...vector file formats are not described in terms of dpi because they are infinitely adjustable for size without any degradation of quality. 

If a vector file format is not available, then a high resolution jpg, tif or png (minimum 600dpi at 3" wide) should work. Yes, we can work with bitmap images like jpgs (photos, etc). We ask for at least 600dpi because quality in = quality out. The higher the resolution of your jpg file the better the print output (our printing process prints at the equivalent dpi of 1200).

And although that may sound like overkill, we can see the difference of print output between a 300dpi image and a 1200dpi image even at the small area we work in.

Of course, if you are not sure what you have regarding the above, we suggest you attach any and all versions of your artwork to an email and send it over to sales@fletchercigars.com. We can then get back to you and let you know what will work.

Turnaround Time...

Typical turnaround time is 2-3 days for artwork to be designed and sent to you via email for approval. After approval, 5-8 days to ship. Shipping from the Melbourne, Florida area will add 1-5 days depending on delivery location

If we are working with special-order cigars (cigars not in inventory) it can add up to an additional week.

Rush orders...we can offer shipping in 3-4 days after order is placed (includes artwork and production) plus expedited delivery if necessary to get your order to you inside of a week after the order is placed. Additional rush fees and expedited shipping fees will apply. Please call to discuss.
